David Lansford, Chairman ENMWUA, Mayor of Clovis
Mayor Lansford was born and raised in Clovis, New Mexico. Following his graduation from Clovis High School he attended Texas Tech University and later Southwestern Oklahoma State University School of Pharmacy from where he graduated in March 1982. Mayor Lansford has worked as a pharmacist for chain drug stores, hospitals, and independent retail pharmacies. Currently, he is the owner and chief pharmacist of Roden-Smith Pharmacy. David Lansford was elected Mayor of the city of Clovis, New Mexico in March of 1996, March 2000, March 2004, March 2012, and March 2016. He was the first elected Mayor for the City of Clovis. Prior to being elected Mayor, he was elected Commissioner from District 1 and served two years of a four-year term. Mayor Lansford is a keen advocate in securing a future sustainable water resource for the residents of Eastern New Mexico. He served as the Chairman of the Eastern New Mexico Water Authority from 2003 to 2008, and is the current Chairman of the Eastern New Mexico Water Utility Authority. Mayor Lansford has served as Chairman of the Ute Water Commission since 2012. Mayor Lansford is married to the former Deborah Blackburn and together they have four children and four grandchildren.
Ron Jackson, Vice-Chair ENMWUA, Mayor of Portales
Mayor Jackson was born in Hobbs, NM and raised in Texico. In 1975 he moved to Portales where he graduated in 1979. Ron joined the US Army in 1980 and served just over four years. Upon leaving the military he returned to Portales and held various jobs in the community. Eventually he settled with James Polk Stone Community in 1990 and is where he still works. During his time in Portales he has served at the Sports League Director and was elected to the Portales city Council in March of 2002 and has served three terms. Recently Ron ran unopposed for Mayor of Portales and was elected in March of 2018. Ron has been married to his wife Cheri for 21 years and they have two children Sarah and Drew. Ron has a love of community and strives to serve the best interest of the City of Portales and looks forward to working in the ENMWUA board.
Chris Bryant, City Commissioner, City of Clovis
Chris Bryant, born and raised in Clovis, and his wife Lola are the proud parents of five children and ten grandchildren. He is the owner of the Foxy Drive-In restaurant. Chris has served as a Clovis City Commissioner in District 4 for the past nine years. Chris also serves as chairman of the water policy committee, as well as serving on other city committees, and represents the City of Clovis on the Chamber of Commerce board and the Plains Regional Medical Center board.
Jim Lucero, City Commissioner, City of Portales
Jim Lucero, born and raised in Portales, NM and his wife Christi of 27 years are the proud parents of Shelby and Austin Lucero. Jim worked for the Coca Cola bottler, Southwest Canners, Inc for 24 years and is currently the plant manager of the Ready Roast Nut Company. Jim is in his first term of the City Council for Ward D in Portales and is also on the Board of Directors of the ENMU Foundation and Roosevelt County Chamber of Commerce and is also on other city committees.

Ladona Clayton, City Commissioner, City of Clovis
Ladona Clayton was born and raised in Portales, New Mexico, and earned her Bachelors and Master's degrees at Eastern New Mexico University. She earned her doctorate at ORU in 2010. She has resided in Clovis since 1980 where she and her husband, Mark, raised two wonderful children. Ladona worked with the Clovis Municipal Schools for 20 years, spending most of her time there as Deputy Superintendent of Instruction. In 2009, she became the Superintendent of Clovis Christian Schools where she continues to serve today. Ladona has served as a Clovis City Commissioner in District 1 for almost two years. Since being elected, she has served as a member of the Water Policy Advisory Committee, orchestrated the first annual Eastern New Mexico Water Conservation Summit, and led the Water Policy Strategic Planning Task Force in designing the City of Clovis Master Water Assurance Plan. Ladona is currently an ex-officio board member of the Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce and represents the City of Clovis on the Cultural and Ethnic Affairs Committee.

Wesley Shafer, Mayor of Grady, New Mexico (ENMWUA Voting Member)
Wesley Shafer was elected to the Village of Grady council in 1990. After 8 years as councilor, he was elected Mayor, a position he is currently holds. A native New Mexican, Wesley was born in Quay County and raised 18 miles northeast of San Jon. He went to school in Porter, New Mexico for eight years and San Jon for four years, after which he joined the U.S. Navy for two years. On June 29, 1962, Wesley married his wife, Eddie Rae. He retired from Farmer Electric Cooperative after 33 years of service. Wesley currently works part time for the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) in agriculture statistics.
